Darabont Family

Darabont Family is a family-owned winery located in Biharia, near Oradea, in western Romania. Viticulture has been part of the Darabont family for generations, and today the estate is carried forward by Erzsebet and Sandor together with their daughters, Betty and Vera.

The family cultivates more than 40 hectares of vineyards divided into 18 carefully selected parcels. Most of the vines were planted in 2016 and 2017, revealing the potential of a distinctive terroir shaped by the soils, climate and long winegrowing tradition of the area.

Surrounded by rich biodiversity, the vineyards are home to pheasants, rabbits and deer. This close relationship with nature is reflected in wines that seek purity, character and an authentic expression of their origin.
